I searched the internet for a natural treatment for Acid Reflux. I was taking prilosec (prescribed by my Dr.) for severe heartburn. Prilosec worked pretty well for me but reflux would return quickly whenever I stopped taking it. I found sites recommending Kefir so I gave it a try but did not have high expectations. What happened? I found that after several weeks, I could get by without

I have added homemade kefir to our diet. It is very easy to do with live kefir grains and whole or raw milk. Store brands do not contain as many of the "good bugs" and they have added sugars. I started making my own Kefir and will never stop drinking it every single day! I feel so much better and healthier, too. It is the best way to get probiotics, even better than taking a probiotic pill. I also ferment my own veggies and that is another w

I purchased kefir grains online because my doctor suggested a probiotic diet to treat my colitis rather than a very expensive medication. I have been culturing and drinking my own homemade kefir for over two months now and not taking any of the medication. I no longer have the disgusting (anal leakage) and painful symptoms related to colitis, and my bowels are more regulated--I used to have to dri
