my Dad was diagnosed type 2 DM and was prescribed to take Metformin 500 mg BID. A friend gave us this plant.My dad did not take his Metformin but started taking this plant. from blood sugar reading of 288-300, now his blood sugar stays on the 90's.

Haven't used ashitba before, so ignore my ratings of the treatment. However, it contains furanocoumarins, which are involved in the 'grapefruit juice effect' and can have the unintended effect of potentiating other medicines you are taking. Worthwhile to check the list of potential interactions before you adopt it as a big part of your diet.

I've taken and drank ashitaba tea for over 10 years. It's known as medical tea, what it says it does is TRUE! digestion, stomach ulcers, blood pressure, circulation, skin, even diabetes it really helps with all these, I believe it has all the vitamins and minerals your body needs to function properly with the exception of vitamin D, and as i've gotten older..
