I am taking rutin for bruising due to sun damaged skin. It does not prevent all bruising, but definately improves the amount of bruising I have I take it daily in a dose of 500 mg (it is all I can find). When I have run out and gone off for a week, I have severe bruising all over my arms. I make sure I DO NOT RUN OUT anylonger!!

I had moderate hemorrhoids in about 1973, at age 43. Some bleeding, and itching. Our family doctor, Dr. George Mitchell, then of Rockville MD, just recommended 500 mg of rutin per day. He said that it greatly strengthens the walls of all the body's cells, and would shrink the veins and cause them to "go back where they came from." Five days after starting the rutin tablets, ALL s ... Show Full Comment
