I needed something to help with my depression spiraling into rather dark places. I wasn't looking for something to make me "happy" but just keep me from going into "that" place. Preferring natural choices if available, I decided to give St John's Wort a try. I did some research on good brands, and started at the lowest dose.

Tried STJ pills,no help. Vibrant, active woman w/great life until Haches actually brain tumors. Glad alive but left w/massive lifelong disabling & PAIN results. I've been taking, on and off, a so-called standardised St. John's Wort extract (300mg, min. 0.3% hypericin x3 a day). I can't say my depression lifts completely, but it becomes more manageable.
