    A mixture of this a reishi mushroom was given to me by my shaman to brew into a tea when I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer that had spread to my colon, since taking this treatment, (and having a hysterectomy) the spread has stopped and even started to recede.     I've had IBS my entire adult life. Am 65 now, and been taking Cat's Claw capsules since 1994. Has helped tremendously in curtailing diarrhea and flatulence. Stopped taking it in 2009 and developed Stage III colon cancer. Survived surgery and chemotherapy and restarted Cat's Claw in Feb. 2010.     This product along with Idoral was suggested by my ND for a bacteria that attacked my CNS and caused sever inflammation on my brain stem and spinal cord. (otherwise known as bacterial meningitis)It took 3 weeks to completely heal with visiting my ND weekly so he could adjust the dosage accordingly to what my body needed through NRT (Nutrition Response Testing).
