Our whole family uses No Reins Jewelweed Salve and soap every summer and we are all itch free! stops any itching as soon as you put it on It honestly will dry up the rash in a day or two great on bug bites too they sell it on ebay!

I had read Jewelweed would help treat poison ivy. I have been taking leaves and stems and crushing them and rubbing them on the effected areas. Letting it dry on my skin. I rub it in briskly. This helps to open the small bumps and has a drying effect on the poison. So far it has stopped the spread. I usually get poison ivy several times per year. Normally using calamine lotion. I have also notice while I use Jewelweed, I urinate more than usual. No other side effects so far.

Depends on your poison ivy, but here is what happened with mine...Seconds after rubbing stem juice on affected area, poison ivy oil rises out of the skin and you will see it surface. This doesn't always happen, but I noticed it in some spots and I imagine this is a good thing =) I just let it dry and flake off later. Should clear things up within 2 days-to 1 week. No Known Side Effects as is usually the case with natural remedies.
