I experience debilitating menstrual symptoms and not only is cramp bark far more effective than NSAIDs, it's effects are immediate.

During pregnancy, I have irritable uterus (consistent uncomfortable contractions every few minutes that don't go away for the entire third trimester). Midwife gave me a sample of cramp bark tea. Did nothing to help with contractions, but gave me gas, which, combined with contractions, made me even more uncomfortable.

I used to use Chaste Tree but I transitioned to Cramp Bark for my dysmenorrhea, which is TERRIBLE due to large fibroids. It takes some time to start working, though it works to ease the pain. I take 40 drops of the tincture with water at the onset of pain. Depending on the severity of the cramps, I might take it twice per day for the first day, though on the second day, I might reduce the dose
