I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes in 2005. I'm on Byetta 10mg, Metformin 500mg, Glimepiride 4mg. There have been a few times that my blood sugar was over 200 and I made some bitter melon tea. One hour later my blood sugar was down by 40 points. It seems to be working for me, to lower my blood sugar.

i'm always sceptical about any kind of treatment for diabetes, but i've been using bitter melon (bitter gourd) for a month now and i can't argue with the results. Before this, i would have frequent blood sugar readings over 200. Since starting the bitter melon, my readings have improved dramatically ranging between 65 to 145. I inject 70 units of Lantus insulin, swallow 2 capsules of Bitter Melon (900 mg each), 2 capsules of Apple Cider Vinegar at bedtime and in the morning my blood glucose is less than 100 at times. I am trying not to use any insulin.
