    For those of you having trouble with flushing... Plain old aspirin will fix that problem. I've tied niacin, didn't help my cholesterol levels as far as i could tell but, was only taking it once a day. I may give it another try.

    took niacin for high cholesterol; triglycerides were substantially lowered, but no cholesterol effect; did increase enzymes in liver; stopped taking niacin, after 6 weeks, enzymes returned to normal

    All the statin drugs caused aching in my joints to the point of sleeplessness. I had been on niacin years ago but got off to try statin drugs. I take 1000mg at night and 500 in the morning, and am losing about thirty pounds with Weight Watchers.     My first review here because this stuff CAN be a miracle. Take it with Inositol (makes it flush-free), and be careful not to over do this as liver toxicity can happen! I was already on generic Lipitor, but not getting good results as my lipid profile was horrid. So-so cholesterol, but triglycerides of 700+ and I was recovering from an early age stroke.
