    I have personally used "bitter almond" better known as B-17/Laetrile/Amygdalin for many years and have never had any negative side effects.There are many everyday foods that everyone eats that contain B-17/Laetrile/Amygdalin,all berries,like blackberry, cranberry,raspberry,boysenberry, choke berry,gooseberry,huckleberry HAVE IT.As well as millet,flax seed and buckwheat.     If they are not recommended due to the high toxicity of the hydrocyanic acid can you please explain why the Hunza tribes from the Himalayan region who consume a large amount of the apricot kernel version on a daily basis do not die from the consumption and are in fact reported to be a cancer free race of people. Please explain.

    The article is typical mainstream media of something that has been around and used for decades, is not patentable AND WORKS, and, of course "has not been evaluated" and never will be by the medical / pharmaceutical mafia and their gov't agency henchmen.

    I have been taking one piece of almond about the size of a grain of rice, with a large cup of water and have lost 4lbs in 2.5 weeks. I am using the bitter almond as weight loss treatment
